“Oto” means sound and “Kehai” means an unseen presence. Nine loudspeakers are set inside the two stone walls on each side of the stairway of Tokyo Opera City Galleria. The sound of “Oto no Kehai” is floating in the air between the two walls. The Galleria of Tokyo Opera City is 188 m long, 14 m wide and 23 m high, and leads from ground level to the InterCommunication Center (ICC) and the Tokyo Opera City Concert Hall – Takemitsu Toru Memorial.
